airbag light flashing??

its flashing like code.. IF anyone is firmiliar with some of the mid 90's chryslers, you could count the flashes and it would tell you (somewhere on the net) what the code was.. not sure if they still do or not, but my airbag light sometimes flashes when i start the truck.. flashes 2..then 4.. (if i remember correctly) then stays on solid... anyone know why???

LFC Code 24 = Restraint System Safety Canopy Module Status (Driver Side Safety Canopy Circuit Fault)



Could be the sensor or bridge, depending on if you have side curtains or not, located in the C-pillar above the seat belt retractor or the curtain module itself if your is so equipped.

You would be surprised how many of these issues are remedied by unplugging the component and then plugging it back in.

canopy??? my 04 adrenalin i dont think has curtains or side impact bags..

BUT if it doesn't it WILL have a "bridge" (read jumper) in place of the sensor. The canopy then is irrelevant.

As Steve mentioned if you don't have the canopy airbag then you will still have a connector that has a resistor in it, this would be located in the drivers side c-pillar. Really the only thing that you can do would be to disconnect the battery and find that resistor and unplug it and then plug it back in, same goes for the airbag control module. If that doesn't remedy your situation you will need the Ford scan tool to see exactly how the system has failed becaue that code doesn't point to anything specific.
