accelerator cable

Had the 03 Sport Trac for about a month and loving it. I have noticed that it would appear that the accelerator cable has some slack or has stretched? Took the cover off on engine and looked at cable and I would think it is alittle loose. Has anyone seen then and is there a way to tighten it. Also comparing to my wifes explorer it is pretty noticeable.

they stretch over time. If heard of people using zipties to take up some of the slack

I just tied a knot in mine. Works fine.
