Ok, you have the walnut on the walnut tree.....you have the chestnut on the chestnut tree.....you have the hickory nut on the hickory tree....and all the other nuts and their trees.....then you have one of the most popular trees, the oak and it's acorn....why is it not called an oaknut???? Think About It!!!!!
