4WD Low will not engage after clutch replacement

I just got my truck back from the mechanic after having some major clutch work done on my 02 manual transmission ST.



4wd high engages just fine, but when I come to a complete stop, put the gear shift in neutral, press on the brake, press on the clutch and then turn the switch to 4wd low....nothing. This is normally the sequence I had done in the past to engage 4wd low.



I brought it back to the mechanic and he said he'd look at it on Monday as he didn't have enough time to look at it this afternoon. I went ahead and drove it home for the weekend.



My only guess is that he failed to connect some relay that ties the 4wd motor to the clutch. I'm not too sure where to look for this though. Anyone have any ideas on where to check? If it was something fairly easy enough to do, I'd take a swipe at it myself to save time spent at the shop.

Me thinks that maybe the neutral switch indicator was not hooked back up??

Do you know where this might be located? Is it towards the 4x4 motor, or somewhere in the cluctch assembly, or elsewhere altogether? Many thanks in advance.

I wouldn't have a clue. On my old T-bird 5-spd it was in the side of the transmission...
