would anyone know of this 3M clear plastic that some put on there head lights and i'm sure other parts of there trucks. and what purpose does it serve.

It's a protective film that will keep paint/headlights/etc from getting chipped by stones.

i have 3M have protective headlight film on our 350Z. also had it on our sold toy 04 matrix head/fogs.

oh yea, most important, i had it on my 07 trac head/fogs

great product to prevent from "sand blasting" in the snowbelt states.

protects expensive lense from cracking, pitting and shatter.

it is almost invisible to the eye installed.



btw, thnx for reminding me. i have a set of gen2 fogs brand new. *see swap & sell*

I have the whole front of my truck protected by it, and the mirrors, and the door cups. Love it.

I have been wanting to protect my gen 1 fog lens. Or do the Lexan lens like Todd Z. Industrial Houston, on freeways. Big Trucks are always throwing rocks and other debri.
