30 K Service Pricing

Wa told today that my next service on my 2007 Sport trac would

be my 30K service and it will cost at least $600. Is this what

everyone else is being charged. Seems kind of high to me.

Those "services" are a scam. You can read the manual and do it yourself. Check tires, check brakes, check fluids, change if needed, etc.



My Trac has NEVER had any of those servicing done and it runs like a top.

I take mine to my mechanic, not to dealer.

He looks over the things suggested and only does the necessary things.

My 30K checkup cost me $105 dollars, which included an oil change, air filter and 2 quarts of antifreeze.



Edit: I have to add that this is the shop that takes care of our 5 family vehicles, including my Corvette, and my business vehicles. I've never questioned his honesty.

Find someone you trust and go with them.

Im like Tom. All of those services are easy to do. Just save reciepts for what you buy and record and sate what you did. Dealer service is a scam.
