Hi gang,
About a year ago, I replaced my OEM fog lamps with PUTCO Jet Yellow halogen lamps. They are H16/9009 lamps with PUTCO part #230001JY. All was good for awhile, but then I noticed water had seeped into the lamp housings. Upon further inspection, I discovered that my nice bright PUTCO lamps had melted the plastic housings. No big surprise; I was a little suspicious this might happen, and indeed it did.
My challenge now - find new high quality (maybe glass) housings to replace the cheap plastic OEM ones. Preferably ones that require no (or a minimal amount of) modification to the existing mounting system. Anyone out there with experience or ideas on this?
Thanks!
