07 Tailgate Lock

I know this is probabely in a post somewhere but I can't find it. What vehicle does the 07 tailgate come from?



I want to know so I can order a pop lock or similar device so that I can lock the tailgate with the remote.

I believe that it is the same one from the F-150, I rememerb that someone asked that at the Meet in Louisville.

Correct, F150 Flareside.

Is the '07 tailgate bolts and so on the same as the 1st generation ST?

Also do you think the wiring of the 1st generation ST the same as the '07 ?

Specificly, the 07 Sport Trac tailgate is the same as the new style F-150 Fleetside from 2004 and later.



The earlily model Sport Trac's used the tailgate from the previous model F-150.

So mechanically they are the same.

Now we just need to know which color wire(s) to splice into on the '07.

Mookie, I used your second project for my install. It worked great.



The actuator went on the original pop lock I bought so I bought a replacement from ebay. The nice thing about it is that it somehow triggers the lock when I close the tailgate so I know that it is always locked!
