06 F150 Super Crew

Bought a new 06 Super Crew this weekend. I looked at the Sport tracs but I really needed to be able to pull the ST. Only down side is I bought the 4.6 so I hope it tows ok. I have a Dynomax cat back system & a K&N on the way for it to help it out. Anyone else out there have the 4.6?

I've been over on F150online for a while now and have read countless posts of people that purchased the 4.6L and are regretting it. If you don't plan to add mods to increase performance or towing then fine, but I know that isn't you. I picked up the 5.4 and had Whipple industries spend 20 hours on the truck, which doesn't include the basic supercharger install. I'm at 427RWHP and 474 ft/lbs of torque now. I just towed a 6500-7000 pound trailer 3300 miles in two and a half days through three mountain ranges and rarely came out of overdrive.



It'll tow okay on lighter loads, but you'll be bogging down in the hills.

I have an '05 4.6 SCrew and tow a 19' pop-up. No complaints.
