I think the 485 watt Adrenalin system (subwoofer under rear seat) wasn't an option until 2003.

The 290 watt Audiophile system (subwoofer behind rear seat back) would have been available in 2001.

If you want moe thump from the rear seat sub. Take these pieces out. They muffle the bass. When the seat is up. Not a super fix, but there is a difference.
