    Replaced Control Arms, now this..

Could it be your ball joints? If this issue is occur while turning, I could imagine one or more of the ball joints are weak. Other than something being bent that shouldn’t be, based on the things you have replaced, ball joints are all I can come up with.

Mystery remains: Why does my odometer advance when in Park?

I know on my old Honda, the rpm’s are measured at the coil. So I suspect the new wires had something to do with it but I am no mechanic as my wife reminds me constantly.

    Don’t like this noise

I like forums with smart members. Sure enough, the left sway bar link is busted. Thanks for the feedback. Replacing both front links today.

    Don’t like this noise

Sorry, it’s a 2004 with 138,000 miles. I’ve had the wheel bearings replaced on the front at 96K and recently new shocks @ 130K. Seems like sway bars or control arm issue with the popping sound.

    Don’t like this noise

Just recently I am hearing and feeling a popping sound when I do over bumps and sometimes when I turn and accelerate. Can’t see anything obvious. Definitely sounds suspension related but hard to diagnose when I am driving it. Any ideas out there?

You could be right about the spray can but he led me to believe it was more than that. I probably got suckered a little but I have spent so little money on repairs over the years that I said “yeah, go ahead”. Haha. But I am retired and have money to burn so there’s that…

    My 2003 Explorer Sport Trac XLT 4.0L V6 4x4

I have a 2004 XLT Sport Trac with 134,000. Had the original spark plugs replaced at 132,000 and they also did an induction flush, total cost $475. The vehicle runs like brand new again. Was wondering if anyone has heard of an aftermarket device that improves the fuel economy. The salesman was...

    Clunking while turning left

I also agree with Arturo and Rich...sounds exactly like my problem and Rich is right on...fixing it is easy and cheap...but like everything old under the chassis, corrosion and rust make easy jobs a pain in the %#*...be ready to wrestle and cut and cuss so before you get it loose...
