So I've been having issues with my Trac stalling only in reverse.. I tried many of the little fixes and checks to ensure it wasn't anything I could fix before I gave into the dealer.... I got the call from them an hour ago and the mechanic told me that my sport trac needs a transmission...

It's quite strange that no one has ever heard of this problem.. I've noticed these things.. my rpm's in drive idles around 600rpm, in neutral it is about 1000rpms and in reverse it sits around 600rpm... i threw it into reverse and the rpms dip up and down between 650rpm and 200 rpm...

Ok... I tried the EGR valve vacuum check.. I resetted the battery/ecu and i checked the hoses and IAC motor... I really don't know what is wrong.. First it was only stalling in reverse.. but now my trac is starting to sputter and almost stall in drive now.... it feels fine in neutral still...
