Hey, try changing out your front wheel bearings...my 01 had the exact same problem with the pulsating at low speeds and it ended up having to change the wheel bearings which have the ABS stuff inside them... Just a thought, Good luck Andy Szkutak

Well, i just called the dealer, and they told me that they will look at it...He said it sounds like normal operation in that after a long skid down an icy hill the abs system will become confused and shut down..?? Any ideas on this?? Thanks Andy

Jeff, that was my first assumption- that theres snow on the sensor, but then why would the brakes have almost no pressure. By the way, the hill is probably a 30% descent to the main road...

By the way, i might add- i still have the crapyear oem tires which are almost bald...

JohnnyO, I had the 01 sport trac and after doing JBA wires new plugs kn filter etc, i got up to 18-19.3 mpg in summer. Now with my 06 ranger ext cab 4.0 4wd auto with the only mod being a kn drop in so far, i get 18-21around town, and i have yet to try a true highway mpg test. Your are right...
