Got the part in...seems simple to install, but since so many here have done it before please post a how to. I'd rather not accidently mess something up.

when you look the DPFE sensor up it shows EGR valve as one and the same. I have this same issue and ordered one yesterday.

I did try to disable all security, but I haven't reset it to default yet. I don't have a lot connected to my wireless...in fact Xbox was the only thing connected when I was doing this. I'll try some of these other suggestions before I completely give up...thanks.

Sorry can't help, but I will tell you that I have had issues with my passenger side rear window off and on for many years (2002 Trac). This last time it wouldn't work, I banged on the door and viola! it works again.

Might be worth taking it to Autozone for a free computer check to see if Ford is telling you the same thing that the code reads.

Is this thing easy to replace myself? It looks like you can just pull the hoses off and unplug the thing...any ideas?

sounds like the EGR and DPFE sensors are the same...I'll check a couple places around town, but they seem pretty easy to replace myself. Any thoughts.

Yeah, I got mine a month ago and they wanted to keep it for half a day to do a 15 minute fix...i could have done it much faster.

Has anyone replaced this? My check engine light came on and says I have a bad EGR sensor. Autozone has one for $50 and it looks pretty simple to replace, but I wanted to check and see if anyone else has done this or needed this done.

I've had them in for 5 years and they didn't blow until recently...also, I did unhook them and the fuse still blows. And what is crazy is the reverse lights now work even with the fuse blown!
