Half my Recon Third light went out and the other half just blinks like made. Can it be repaired or do I just replace it? Thanks

It happened to me (similar) and it was time to replace - lasted 2 trucks and about 5 years.

I just Nightshaded my 3rd brake light and am extremly happy with the results.. My STA is black though. In case you decide not to shell out another $100.

I like the style of the light, hate that my third brake light on it hasn't work since I replaced it with the Recon.

Thanks, I will pull it apart and see what I can do. I will install the old one and Nightshade it.

From your description. Could just be connection problems in the light itself. If it can be taken apart look at wires and solder joints. Might find broken solder joints, you can repair.

Got one for Christmas 2010, it only lasted three months up here in the winter. Water gets inside too easily.
