In between owning my first and second ST, I had a Chevy Avalanche. If you seen one on the road, you know they're plagued with fading plastic cladding. Which is unfortunate, since so much of that truck is plastic cladding.

One popular solution that worked for me was to apply a product called "Refinish Restorer." It's currently produced by a company called CarWorx (formerly by Car Systems). My "new" ST had uneven fading on the rear bumper and the plastic trim below the windshield. I applied my left over Refinish Restorer with pretty good results. It looks and smells like a wood stain. I apply it with a paint brush. It's sticky for a few hours but it lasts for months.

Aloha J, that stuff works great. I have been using Armorall, but it gives out after a couple of weeks! Is finish restorer sold at parts houses like NAPA? I will look around.

That "Wipe New" stuff works. I bought it the "As seen on TV" mall store. The problem is they charge $20 for a tiny bottle. There is just enough to do all the cladding on the Sport Trac.

But it appears to be holding up. I put it on in early Spring and it still looks fresh.

For the rest of the black trim and the bed cover I like to use "Trim Gel".

Wow, that Refinish Restorer seems to work great, but boy is it expensive !!!

The cheapest I could find was $43.99 for 500ml (about 2 cups) on Amazon.com with no mention as to how much area it will cover or how long it will last?? Since that seems to be the only size they sell, I suspect it may be only enough for one average vehicle?

Anybody else have any experience with Refinish Restorer?

Rich, it's good for a lot. I have a 1L can that covered two Chevy Avalanches. They have a lot more plastic than the ST. The bumpers and trim on a Volvo S60. My latest ST. And I still have left over! My guess is that I used about 4 -5 oz. to cover both bumpers and sides (below the doors) and the trim below the windshield.
