Gotta be aftermarket stereo. Never got why the Adrenalin wasn’t available with a higher end audio system and only got the crappy 4x6’s in the doors. The sub behind left rear helps but the soundstage on that system is not up to the rest of the vehicle
I was always amazed at how little thought Ford put into audio on the Sport Trac. They weren’t horrible if you got an XLT or something but believe it or not, the Adrenalin, as the highest trim level, gets the crappy 5x7 in each door only. No separates. The sub behind left passenger seat isn’t bad...
Hey Evox- I have a 2010 Adrenalin that had a squirrelly electrical issue similar to yours. When I would turn off ignition, dash and climate control panels would click and flash while key was in my hand. Was also getting battery drains and shorts. Took to an electrical guy that checked all kinds...
I’ve posted about this before but my ‘10 Adrenalin was killing batteries overnight about a year ago. Had checked and there were no real parasitic drains. Turns out the source of the short was on the underside of the main wiring harness around where the battery connects. There was corrosion under...
Thanks Todd. I’m not noticing any other issues with the keypad other than two of the buttons not lighting- they still operate just don’t light. Might just let it be for now. Was in process of replacing the fogs, 3rd brake and a cloudy headlamp and thought I’d throw that in too!
Two of the five buttons on the keyless entry actuator on my 2010 Adrenalin are not working. Was gonna replace the actuator but was curious if a new one comes with a new entry code already set or do they require any special programming
Since it was late winter of last year when I had the issue, let me check with the guy that found it for more clarification. He should remember since it was a unique issue
No worries. I had one mechanic working on it off/on for a couple weeks before he sent it to this guy that fixed it as he is better with electronics. Thought the thing was possessed! When it first started, I would turn off engine and take key out and climate control lights would keep flickering...
I have a 2010 Adrenalin and had a similar issue last year. Truck just started killing batteries overnight and nobody knew where the current draw was coming from. In my case, the culprit was some corrosion on the bottom side of the main wiring harness / posts. Had a mechanic do all kinds of tests...
Guess I may have lucked out in that the first 5 years of my Adrenalin's life was in Baltimore, MD and the next five have been here in NC where the weather is not nearly as bad. Biggest issue i have with mine is the wear on the seats and that I go through brakes seemingly too often!
