Update….after looking at pictures of the rack and pinion steering on automotive parts websites, looks like that retaining clip holds both lines in place. As such, I should be able to service it without dropping the whole rack assembly!

So the issue with my ignition was the actuator rod that is buried deep in the steering column. You have to pull the column, disassemble some of it, and then change the actuator rod......lots of work for a small cheap part! lol

I’ve got a 2002 also, although right now I’m fighting an ignition tumbler/actuator/switch problem (which I posted a query about on our forum yesterday), once I get that figured out…which I will at some point….Id be interested in that rear brake hardware!

Right front fender, just behind the running light is a common first rust spot. Also look for discoloration to the metal rocker panels just above the plastic body cladding that is mounted inferior to the door. And finally, as u mentioned, the inside bottom of the tailgate. That plastic body...
