    Pulled my valve cover, looked at my cam phaser on the drivers side. Anyone know how to tell if its bad? Also, looks like a tough job to get the chain off... Any pointers?

    I was thinking that if I went with a cooler thermostat it would open up sooner, allowing the coolant to keep the engine cooler... Do I have that theory wrong? If so I will change the thermostat tomorrow, lol.
