A true compact truck would be smaller than the sport trac. Maybe a transit connect platform ( isn't that just a focus platform? ) styled like a pickup, unibody, 4cyl and all. When I think compact truck, I think of the old datsun, toyota sr5, type of truck size, back to 1985.
I do most of the repairs on the ST, but when the problem is more than I can handle, I take it to Capitol City Auto. Dan there did a great job replacing the pinion bearings on the ST.

Anyone ever replace the heater core in the truck yet themself. Is this a difficult item to replace, requiring the dash, instruments, etc to be removed first?
You are correct on the cable. For a box home theater set or for speakers that will not be driven with high ampere; typical speaker cable should do the job #18 or #16 AWG conductors at the smallest. On high end speakers, B&W or Martin Logan for example, #12 AWG cable or larger is a must...
