Idk if this helps but the in dash chager my f150 has i was able to take the unit out the dash and a couple screws and i could pull the whole magazine out the unit and get my cd it ate 2 years prior.

i suppose im the first person in the world to upgrade to a navi unit in the ST.

i had this happen to my LS couple years back. i had to pull a wire on the clockspring and flip it to fix issue. im unsure why or how it happened it was wild.

This prob isnt the answer you are looking for but just a thought, why not drill a hole in the one that came on it and mount the camera in it with epoxy for jb weld, ive done it before when adding cameras in my grille and trunk bc i like them to be "hidden" so to speak and drilling and mounting...

ive manhandled that beast off and on the truck alone, you would think they could have thought about versatility and removal in design to cut the weight, its too heavy. i used the tailgate as a "step" to step it lower before picking up and carrying it to wash area. that helps alot!
