Since my ST was totaled and I replaced it with a 2003 Tacoma it's time to move on. I've enjoyed this site over the years and have learned a lot. I wish I'd had the skills to contribute more.
I have to say I miss my ST and had a great 6 1/2 years with it. The tacoma is a fine vehicle, but...
It's my birthday.
And it's all about family.
The story of Christ's birth has always touched me.
I've always loved Christmas Carols.
And I enjoy fruitcake.
Merry Christmas!
Got a call from the insurance adjuster today saying that the cost of repairs is greater than the value of my '01. They are offering 11,800. I got my ST in May of 2000 and it has 110,000 miles on it. I really am not enthused about getting another vehicle as my ST has been a reliable and useful...
Thanks for the sympathy folks. Did some R&R at Bodega Bay this weekend. I found that Napa Valley wines are great pain relievers. A bit sore still, but nothing too serious.
I might have been more upset than I am if I hadn't been young and stupid myself.

Some of the original Job 1's had missing paint areas under the doors. I've been pleased with the paint job on my April 2000 build. It gets hot here near Sacramento in CA - 2 weeks of 100+ this last summer, so I don't think heats a problem for the '01's.
I have a 2002 Outback with 95k. Good solid vehicle with very few problems. The 2.5 is a bit underpowered for the hills. i'd think the 3.0 would be just right. It has great front and side impact results.

Just to throw another letter into the discussion, I bought my Sport Trac using the Z-plan. It's for retired ford employees and as I remember it was 2% under invoice, plus options were at dealer cost.
