Well, its finally almost over. The 6 week long search for 8 year old Victoria (Tori) Stafford has taken a pretty disheartening twist.



She was abducted April 8th, 2009 on her walk home from school. Her brother usually walked her home everyday, but decided that day to escort his disabled friend home so that they could play video games. Victoria was last seen on a Highschool security camera footage walking down the street with a stranger (a female).



Last night they arrested a 28-year-old man and an 18-year-old girl, who lived around the corner from Tori, in connection with her abduction and murder. There are news reports that the 18-year-old female is now assisting police with the search for Tori's body in Guelph Ontario, about 100 kms from Woodstock where she lived. Apparently she was taken for "sexual purposes" and killed the same day she was taken.



This has been a very closely watched case in my area. Every one has been hoping and praying for her safe return for the past 6 weeks, so to hear this news is very devistating for the SW Ontario community.



If these two idiots are convicted of being her abductors and killers, I hope they %$&*ing rot in jail for the rest of time.

I have no tolerance for this kind of SH*t and after having seen it day in and day out on CNN.com (caylee anthony, etc) its never really hit home before. Now its closer than I would ever have hoped.

we had a similar case in my local couple mos back, Little girl (I think about 6 yrs old)

abducted, sexually abused, murderd, put in a suitcase and thrown in a pond.

The world has always been gross and disturbing... we just have more media making everybody more aware. Regardless, it is sick and unforgivable! But thats the major problem in my opinion... it's forgiven...



Our judiciary system is to PC. When people complain that we torture terrorist to save lives --- i mean come on. What sickens me the most is that as a country we don't have stricter punishments. Personally... I'm all for bringing back the Romanesque forms of punishment, broadcast the hell out of those, and see how many of these types of cases continue to happen.



Imagine the poor brother in this story who for the rest of his life is going to feel the guilt of his sisters death... then think about the family and the grief that they must all be enduring...



Now imagine (which is more than likely) that the 18yo girl assisting the police is working on an immunity deal... and the 28yo will most likely go to jail for the rest of his life where there is AC, food, TV, showers everyday, state of the art buildings, visiting rights, rights to communicate the press and public (write a book and publish it), etc.

I have a solution for male sex offenders after they've been convicted. Take some deep sea high test fishing line and tie it around the offending part of the anatomy. Make the line just long enough to where they can't touch the ground and let gravity take care of the rest!

I don't quite get how your scenario works Roger--are they hanging from the line?



Though I'm hoping that kills them off, because if it does not, they'll be out on the streets and worse than before since they'll kill and maim further to make up for the lack of other satisfaction. Psychology and CSI don't lie.



If they don't die, even if they go to prison, they'll still create misery. The justice system could easily release them for cruel and unusual punishment, and not only that, but they'd probably get paid by the government for the ordeal. In a society that has paid "mistreated" criminals, pays "reparations", and doles out welfare checks, that isn't so hard to believe.



Your post sounds like a call to eugenics/euthanasia, an idea that is 70+ years dead in America.

There's still a lot of fall-out going on around here with the issue. I work in the Public Affairs department at the School Board in London and my Dad is the Director of the entire board. Tori went to one of our schools in Woodstock so he has had to go to a number of engagements to show support and help counsel the children at her school.



People from Woodstock are outraged with the school board, but I can't understand why. This happened after school when she was walking home alone.

Many will blame the school board probably assuming that if the child were not "forced" to walk home from school then this probably wouldn't have happened.



Unfortunately, public schools don't bus everyone. Anyone that is within a reasonable distance of the school, and able to walk to school along a safe route (sidewalks, etc), will not be bussed. That's the way it is in our school district, and I assume the same in most. The distances vary from district to district, but up to a couple of miles is not out of the question. (Remember the old "I used to walk 5 miles to school, up hill, both ways" crack?)



Most kids don't walk to school these days, even if not bussed. Heck, many kids these days refuse to ride the bus, even. Lots of kids that otherwise could ride the bus get dropped off and picked up by the helicopter parents, who often talk about the "evils" of the bus.



This stinks, but it's not the school board's fault.

I dont understand the mentality of someone wanting sex with a child. What the heck go's through their mind. We found a few years ago. Uncle that married my dads oldest sister. Has molested most of his grand children. Boys and girls. I dont understnd why they did nothing about it. All they did was exile him from the family. If it had of been my dad. Castrastion, a broom stick dipped in tabasco up his a** and few other things before I called th police.



I know they call it a power trip but. I dont understand the mind of a rapist either. I have always felt. If she dont want to be there I dont either. I always took no to be no. For me It wont be any fun if both parties dont want it. That would include my wife.

I agree on the bullet. Castrate them first if you're so dead-set on the idea, but if you don't kill them they will get back out, and they will kill more and do more gruesome things out of vengeance & a lack of being able to do, ahem, "other" things.



If you don't kill them, you aren't solving the problem. The issue is in their mind, and your methods don't address that. Not killing them but instead castrating them is simply practicing eugenics, which the civilized world did with reckless abandon 70 years ago. If you want it back, blame hitler.



Legality aside, the psychology of simply castrating them will not stop them. Killing them is the only option that is guaranteed to work.

You want to keep them in a max security prison for the rest of there lives, you want them to be part of the general prison population.

Child molestors are dearly hated by the other bad guys, alot of them are killed in prison.

Let him get raped by the other guys 10 times a day, beaten to a pulp every day.

But not killed, let this go on every day for as long as it takes, after 30 or so yrs, he may have a clue.

In prison, they can get back out. When they're dead, they can never come back.



Yes, child molesters are abused (to say the least) in prison...but as long as they are alive, they have the chance to get out and molest anew.



Especially if we throw in the castration advocated in this thread--that will get them out, almost guaranteed, but what is guaranteed is that they could win a beaucoup of money in a lawsuit



Even if they are killed off in prison, the family of the molester can sue for the death, the mutilation, and a thousand other things an unscrupulous lawyer will come up with.



In prison, they could even manage to get themselves into solitary confinement, which would spare them the torture that is envisioned for them. While I do not disapprove of the idea entirely, putting them into prison with the admitted high probability of them getting killed sounds cheap--why not just kill them from the get go?



As long as they are alive, there are ways they can still "win", or at least wreak as much damage upon society as possible as they loose.

That brings me to another point. What kind of a human being can DEFEND the actions of the accused in this case? I know they have the right to legal council and heck, everyone needs to make money. But seriously, the "public servant" that is assigned to their cases will try to win the trial so that they can have more money.



Its about 99% clear cut that these two retards are the ones responsible for this sweet little girls....untimely end (to say the LEAST). So why do THEY have the right to legal council? they sure as $%# did not give Tori and of HER legal rights. IMO they should be stripped of their legal rights and thrown in a pit of non-venomous cobras. They deserve torture, not death. They deserve to feel the full pain of all the people they've hurt. That means EVERYONE..every single person that this case has touched. They've hurt all of Woodstock, all of Ontario, all of Canada, and the whole F'n World.



By the way... I dont agree with castration. They should be paralyzed from the neck down. take a baseball back to their back or something. Regardless, death is too easy of a way out and castration leaves them with their sick F'n minds to condure up some other way to take their sh*tty lives out on the rest of society.



And speaking of which, you guys may think castration is all well and good for the 28 year old dude in this case (who is a good looking guy and has never had trouble getting girlfriends - boy he will be raped the hell out of in prison) but what about the 18 year old girl??



shes co-operating with police so that she can get a lighter sentence (most likely) but SHES RESPONSIBLE FOR THE ABDUCTION in the first place. She is the one who walked Tori to this asswipe's house after school. She was there when he raped and killed her (allegedly) and she helped him take her body somewhere outside of guelph to bury it under a pile of rocks (potentially) and THEN she helped him evade police.





Edit: I sincerely apologize for my language in this post. I normally would not throw in so many swear words in an online posting, but as you may imagine I am very passionate about this and honestly, swearing helps me to release some of the aggression I feel towards the two individuals who are responsible.
