problem starting truck turn key nothing happens only a fast flashing theft light. no power to door locks, lights , battery and connections checked. did get it to work by punching in code on the keyless door pad. does not happen all the time.

A fast flashing theft light usually means something went wrong with the connection between the key chip and the reader on the ingition(you hope it's on the key end...). Your anti-theft system sounds like it's kicking in when you try to start it.



Maybe try the putting the steering wheel all the way up when it does it again. If that solves the problem, check the connector that is a known problem.



One more thing is a possible weak battery or a corroded/bad battery connection. That will cause all sorts of electronic gremlins to pop up. I know you said you checked the battrery, but did you have it load tested?

First, try the other key...



Second, get a charger on the battery as it is common for the battery to fail/be weak and create a no start-security issue..
