wiring for brake control

does anyone know if the 07 sport trac is wired for a brake control, or does it have to be hard wired in? thanks, john

The 07 comes pre-wired along with a wire harness that plugs in under the dash for the brake controler. All you have to do is plug in the wireing harness under the dash and connect 4 wires to your brake controler and you are ready to go. See my library for additional info on wiring a brake control.

The narness you use for the controller is to be purchased from a trailer wiring store. I do not know of any auto manufacturers that give you the harness to plug into the dash plug.

The wiring harness for my brake controller was in the glovebox of my 07 Limited Sport Trac when I took delivery. It was in a sealed clear plastic bag that also contained wiring instructions for connecting the leads. The harness plugs in under the dash to the left of the steering wheel shaft.

My wiring harness was also in the glovebox of my 07 Limited Sport Trac when I took delivery.

It is installed and working AOK. Check with your dearler.
