Hello. New member. I recently purchased a 2008 Sport Trac 4.6L. Previous owner installed a color matched spoiler on the back. There were some LED's out so I ordered a new one. However, my wife was behind me one night and not only noticed the LED's but informed me the spoiler light bar would flash when my left signal was on. After investigation, the p/owner had stupidly wired the spoiler brake light to the brake/turn signal light on the left side. I want to correct this. Can anyone give me some tips on where to find a dc supply activated by the brakes? I know the factory 3rd brake light has a supply but I don't know how to get to it. The truck has the factory 6 pin trailer plug, is there a source there? Would patching in to the electric brake supply work? Any help would be appreciated! Look forward to enjoying the forum.

I had the same problem with the third brake light on my cap. You need to get a third brake light module.
    I got this one: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001S16Z7W/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
I got a trailer wiring harness and plugged it into the 4-pin connector under the hitch, ran the wires up into the bed, then connected to the caps's third brake light from there. The Amazon listing shows some complaints but mine works fine.
    They have other ones.
