Which Speakers / Sub to Buy

I have the 6 disc head unit in a 2002 Trac with the factory sub/amp.



I want to get better speakers and sub and was trying to find our if the speakers/sub I have is a 4 ohm's or 2 ohm's.



I removed the Sub to see if it said on it how many ohm's it was but it did not.



What 4 x 8 Speakers and Sub should I buy as stock replacements but better quality that will be compatible with the stock head unit and wiring?

For the doors, they're 6x8s and they're 4 ohms. On the sub, there's no viable aftermarket solution.

Actually they are 6x8's. I wnet with Kicker 3-ways 50 watt. Unless you plan to run them off an amp, try to stick around what the wattage output on the HU is. If not, you aren't putting out enough power to get them to sound right. Not sure what the out-put on the 6 disk is, but the single disk in mine was 25 watts. The amp I have in mine just runs the 8 and 10" subs. It sounds great. I think they are 4 Ohm speaker (OEM) but may be wrong. I'm sure someone will correct me if I am.

The stock sub is a DVC 1.2 ohm.

Yes, I meant 6 x 8 not 4 x 8.

I'm happy with my Polk Audio 571's.



Dingo, would a JL 6W0 work?

yea i got those same polk audios on my doors...decent bass n clear sound i like em....cost me about $120 shipped from crutchfield n i installed them myself

I have the Polk 571s as well and I wouldn't have it any other way

If you're using the stock amp, no sub is actually going to sound good.
