The recent attack/spamming of the site with pretty foul posts by a child-like person has been cleaned up by the admins. Thanks, guys.

However, the incident has shown a bug in the website.

Clearly there must be topic-level records in the MYST database, one each for each thread, that acts as a header record and contains the title of the thread and information about the last (most recent) post to that thread.

If that assumption is correct it seems that a header record is not updated properly when the last post in the thread is deleted by an admin. The deletion of the last record should update the header record accordingly.

We probably should fix that bug, lest we have to see all the phantom last post references.

I'm not sure on Todd or George's side, but on my admin access I'm not actually deleting the post just hiding it. That is why it still shows at least in this case as I was the one that "deleted" the posts from this attack.

As we all know this is a custom forum software, and I'm not sure what would have change and if it's even reasonable to do to be able to fully delete these messages from the database.

    TJR,

As of now that can ONLY be done Manually as its just the way Rich set up the database to work.... To write the code for this is timely and Just not worth it IMHO.....

Alll I do want to say is We can manually do it, But we have other ways of blocking this but it can affect other members.....

Also honestly the person doing this is obviously a 5th grade child as the comments are such that and the person simply has no respect for People that supported them when they owend their track or still do, others and George and my self who support the site with our time and Money.

So with that said, Thank you to all the Supporters of the site !!!!!

    Admins, Great job !!!!
