Curious... Where did you mount the HID Box? And how did you mount them? And lastly... Pix? Thanks ahead of time. I plan to do the install tomorrow.

Afternoon,

On the same note, what are the headlight and fog light numbers?

Also, is there such thing as a HID kit that allows you to keep the high/low beam setting, I read the project listed above, and it says that he lost "flash to pass". Does this mean that he still has the high/low beams?

Thanks in advance

Brant

High and low beam kits are called bi-xenon kits and yes they exist.

on a 1st gen ST it is 9005 bulbs for the fogs and 9007 for the headlights

re. "flash to pass", HID's take about 10 sec to warm up.

If you haven't used the high beam recently, the bulb will be cold, and it won't produce much light when you first turn it on. That isn't much of a problem for normal use of high beams, but you probably don't have that much patience when you want to 'flash to pass.'

after re-reading the project mentioned above, it's clear that they used a low-beam-only HID bulb. That's why there's no flash-to-pass. There's no high beam at all when you do that.

In a vehicle with separate bulbs for high-beam and low-beam, this problem would not happen.

Thanks for the input Big D, can you or anyone else recomend a brand/website to buy from, there seems to be a million.
