Your pics for the ,08 Escape oil sender were spot on. I had to remove the oil filter. Use a short old style 13/16 hex top sparkplug socket with out the rubber insert & 6" cresent. Limited space.

Worst of it was O'riely sold me a bad one. Had to do the job twice. No one had a motorcraft sensor, on the shelf. I should have ordered in advance.
