Alright guys so I have a funny question. Is the rotor and the hub assembly one piece for a 2wd 05 sport trac? When I took the brake caliper off the rotor and everything could just be taken off. I also could not find a way to take the outer wheel bearing out.

Yes, the 2wd has a rotor/hub assembly and seperate bearings/ seals. There's a castle nut with a cotter pin in it, once you take those off you may need to give alittle muscle to get it to release.

Well I took the cotter pin out and the nut off. The smaller wheel bearing came out easily, the bigger one further back I could nto get out and it simpluse stayed within the rotor/hub assembly. Here is a picture of what I'm talking about:

back side of the rotor/hub, you can see the outer wheel bearing right below the black ring.

You can see the outer wheel bearing in the back there and also right in the front you can see the ring that the inner wheel bearing goes into, that ring I could not get out either. Maybe I wasn't using enough force.

You need to remove the race, it's the shiny thick washer looking thing on the edge there. Never did the brakes on a 2wd ST but if it's the typical 2wd rotor/spnidle setup then that's the race, it's keeps the bearings in place and keeps the rotors in line on the spindles.

NBC if you set your rotor on the table on some blocks ..face up ..to keep it elevated...use a long metal dowl, or even a large screwdriver and you can just catch the race in the inside and tap it out . move the dowl (screwdriver) in a circuiler fashon around the race to drive it out evenly or else youll just bind it
