I don't know who was asking about it, and I forgot about it until this weekend when I took the cover off the throttle body, but here is the method I used to repair the cruise control cable connection to the throttle linkage. I used a pair of zip-ties, crossed around the boss and then around the cable in kind of a figure eight, one for the front and one for the back. It's been on there for about 20k miles, so I guess it works. Zip ties are an amazing invention!

The cruise cable is cheep and easy to replace your self......

Thats a great fix and I have done it before, But I will NEVER chance my throttle getting stuck due to a 5 cent zip tie.....

Please replace the cable...

I think to replace that cable. You have to replace the whole cruise module. My cable to be self contained. The only thing I see that could happen is the cruise cable pops back off. I wouldnt do such repair to the main cable.
