Got the P0443 CEL a few weeks ago. Tried to just clear it but it came back. Researched in here and the web about possible causes and decided I would start with the Vapor Canister Purge Valve up underneath the battery. Got the part from RockAuto.com for cheap and installed this afternoon. After putting it all back together and going for a drive the CEL went away and has not yet come back so looks like I started in the right spot! Just wanted to post in case anyone else had this CEL and was looking for a place to start. Thanks for the previous posts helping about this.

So I got the P0443 bought a new Vapor Canister and when replacing I found the small diameter vac line (smallest of the 3 connections) had a break in it.
I replaced the vac line along with the canister problem resolved.

Ya there are no ethanol free gas stations in CT. My canister was under the battery I've read they can be either place.
