I have a 2007 ST with the V6. My wife was driving and the oil change soon came on while driving. She was less than 10 miles from home when the engine shut off! The info light for engine oil change required came on and now it cranks but won't start! I tried to reset the info, which it does, but when trying to start it comes on again! Help!

The small indicator light that looks like an oil can indicates low oil pressure. Maybe the oil level is low?

The oil level is good. All fluid levels are correct. Thank you!

Maybe a bad sensor. Or you have lost oil pressure.

I don't think ford has the safety where if you go too long it shuts off the truck with the change oil light on. I HATE TO SAY this, try resetting the oil as if you changed it and see of it starts..... then IMEDATLY change the oil if it does.

check the fuel reset switch on the passenger side, red top, Push it to re set. You may need to spray fuel or starting fluid in it and crank to see if its fuel or ignition related... Could be a laundry list of things..... Fuel pump driver, Fuel pump, A fuse, a relay ect.

The oil pump is bad, your oil filter is blocked, or your engine is blocked with sludge when was the last time you changed your PCV valve?.

I don't think your year model has the guide problems, but in earlier years pieces of the chain guide would break apart and could clog oil passages.
