O2 sensor

I have a 07 sport trac v8 Can someone please tell me where bank 1 rear o2 sensor is located. I looked under there and seen 4 o2 sensors. One before and and after the cat. Also looks like there is 2 cats as well. Looking for some help with this matter. Thanks in advance.

Passenger side is bank 1. Driver side is bank 2. So you are looking at the passenger rear O2 sensor. Front O2 sensors are used by the engine to control the air/fuel ratio. Rear O2 sensors are used to monitor the efficiency of the cats. Front ones critical to fuel efficiency and proper operation. Rear ones keep the EPA happy.

Ray,

If you got a code about an O2 sensor. That is not always the problem. Most of the time not a bad O2 sensor. There are various things that can be bad. The sensor might be the first thing that throws a code.

It is an anylytical issue. You might wind up changing good parts, and still throw the same code.

Changed my o2 sensor this weekend and cleared codes. Still have a little hesitation around 60 mph.
