New windshield haze

I just had a new windshield installed on Monday. While driving into the sunrise and sunset, I notice a very distracting haze on the exterior surface. The glass shop (Safelite) used their proprietary glass cleaner and I tried Windex and lacquer thinner in a small spot to see if it would make a difference. I also tried Dawn detergent. Nothing cuts it. It wouldn't be so bad if the haze was uniform on the surface, but it's not. It changes in appearance from inch to inch.



I'm afraid to see what it's like in the rain.



What is that stuff and how do I get it off?

I would make them replace it. Not satisfied with the product.

Try straight vinegar, seams to be the only thing that works for me with DC grim on the my windshield interior.

Agree Eddie, it's your safety. Read many fails about aftermarket glass unless it's OEM CARlite.

I agree with Eddie..... Either Safelite cleans the haze off or replaces the windshield with one that does not have the haze. If they won't do that then demand your money back, take it somewhere else for a new windshield.
