Hi,
Today I bought a new battery for my 2003 Ford Explorer Sport Trac. After the installation starting and driving seems to be ok but the battery light is on and the battery indicator is not so far away from 'L'. With my old battery it was in the middle of 'L' and 'H'.
I changed the battery because I thought there is a problem with the battery but after changing once again the same.
The old battery was a Walmart ValuePower:
Part Number 65-1
650 Cold Cranking Amps
805 Cranking Amps
The new battery from Costco:
Group Size: 65
CCA 850
CA: 1000
RC: 150
Item#: 852186

Is the new battery the wrong one or what could be the reason?

Find a reputable auto parts store than can scan for stored trouble codes, check your charging system, and load test your alternator.
Write down the "p0" trouble code NUMBER(S) if possible. Usually" a FREE service. Call around and keep posted. Good luck!

"Charging system: Illuminates when the battery is not charging properly."
