Hey everyone. I talked to a few custom shops around the detroit metro area about lowering my 2003 ST. It is believed that lowering the torsion bars will cause the truck to handle and ride a lot worse than not. It is also believed that you risk damaging the vehicle without the torsion keys. can anyone plz clarify for me.

If I was in the mood to go low instead of high. I would just swap out the front suspension, to ie: 2001+ ranger setup with the upper and lower control arms and ditch them torsion bars. It in all, wouldn't be super difficult.

Jeff C and I have been riding without the torsion adjustment bolts for some time with no problems. In fact, I have worse problems with the rear right now than with the front. I'm on 3 inch blocks, but the roads here in Illinois are so bad that I'm swapping for 2 inch blocks to cut down on the bottoming out.
