interior lights

Is there a way to set the interior lights to come on/off with the door ajar switches rather than the ignition/keyless entry system (i.e. I want the interior lights to come on when a door is opened and off when all doors are closed)? I've searched through the factory workshop manual and not found any method to change this, dealer-done or otherwise, so I'm assuming not it's not possible.

Mine always did that. All I had to do was roll the "dim" swith up past off...
