Instrument Panel Lights

Anyone else have issues with the instrument panel lights burning out? Do not feel like paying $280 to have it replaced. Anyone pulled the panel to do themselves? Any major pitfalls to avoid?

I've pulled mine out various times...not to complicated and for a few cents/bucks can get the bulbs at a local autoparts store and replace them.

Easy to do and doesn't cost much. Follow the project but one piece of advice, when you remove the metal kick plate, you will be able to see the gear indicator wire. Disconnect it and you will be able to remove the gauges completely. I didn't and ended up stretching the cable and it never lined up again with the gear it was in. It later broke completely and I had to rig it back up so it would work again.
