This is a piece of Gutter Guard purchased for $1.50 at Lowe's. There is enough to do several fog lights.
You will need some wire cutters or tin snips to cut this into the shape needed.

You will need to remove the front fender well cover. This cover has three phillips screws(red) and two plastic push fasteners(yellow).

You can see the location of the plactic push fasteners located at the top.

Here is the fog light. There are three bolts holding this assembly. You can see them with the red (pink) markings.

Use the fog light as a template and cut out a section of the gutter guard. Mold the mesh so that it lays down as nice as possible.
Use some type of 'Pookey' ( I used Liquid Nails) to fasten in place.

Make sure you align the mesh to way you want and make both sides the same.

Reassemble and you are done.
I do not know if this will save my fog light against the next rock but for the small cost it is worth a shot.
