ignition key

Hi folks, now and again the ignition key won't turn. Will it screw up anything if I spray some silicone in the slot? I don't have any graphite.

Check to see if the steering wheel has pressure on the ignition switch. Try turning the wheel both directions while trying to turn the key.

Hi Mark, I do that and it sometimes works. Mostly I have to jiggle until it turns.

Try another key, your key may be worn too,
