Hi folks, the idler pulley on the 4.0 Sportrack is bad. Can someone tell me if the radiator must come out to make room for the bolt to back out?

Tks Ed

No, short bolt with lots of clearance. Remove belt and use a standard 15mm socket. Torque 35 ft/lbs. Ten minutes max, or you're doing something wrong.

P.S.- Check ALL the other pulleys while the belt is off. GL

Easy peasy to change,,,,, Should take 15 min.....

And I would Just change the idler too, and change the WHOLW tensioner, not just the pulley...

Change the belt too !!
