    I have a 2001 Ford Explorer sport trac 4x4.
with timing chains that need to be replaced.
my question is I found a guy that will fix it but he lives 120 miles away I have no access to a flat bed trailer but I need to know can I get my 4x4 towed by the front and what do I need to do to get this done.

Does it run ?? Just let it idle in neutral.

you can pull the rear drive shaft too and tie it up and be done with it.
