head unit trouble/XM trouble

kind of 2 separate things/questions going on here...'01 job 1



the more important first: i have noticed recently my stock head unit had been acting up lately...my display will actually flicker almost in intervals of about 10 seconds...the lights go flicker and sometimes completely off, but come on for about 20 seconds and the process begins again. whats going on here?



secondly...to XM users, i have the Delphi skyfi 2 (i believe that's the correct spelling) recently the reception is terrible, i am getting high pitched squeals and static noises (not exactly static) when listening to the radio...figured i'd throw it in this post since maybe it has something to do with the head unit.

The stock head unit not sure about but the XM is the antenna. Replace with a new and your good to go. Mine did the same on the same SkiFi.

I would check all connections and wiring before I scraped it. It could be what Big Al said. Check it first.
