I'm a funeral director who runs a direct cremation office. Where I am there have been relatively few Covid deaths, I have not had any where I work. That said, for the last three weeks our NJ office has been forwarding their phones to us because they are too busy to answer the phone. We sort of triage the calls and forward messages to the appropriate person. Our phone rings all day. ALL DAY. And the Philly area is busy so I've been doing some paperwork remotely for them. But at least I am still working. If I was in my previous career I would be screwed. My wife is an accountant for a medium-sized company and has been working from home the past four weeks and just running to the office once or twice a week to get some papers signed. So we are fortunate. My brother-in-law's brother died from it in Florida a few weeks ago. He wasn't real old, 67, but like many he had other health problems. My hair has gotten way too long. I'm working on a mullet. The wife and I like to go out to eat and can't do that. Sucks.
