After driving the truck for 20 mins or so and in hot weather, I turn it off for 10 mins (run in a store) and it wont restart. I do not hear the fuel pump turn on. Has done this multiple times. Wait a couple of hours and it fires right up with no issues. Its done this once last summer and 3 times this year already. If the fuel pump is overheating wouldn't it just cut off when driving? When driving there is no loss of power or hesitation at all regardless how long I drive it. And yes its done it with a full tank of gas.

Fuel pump motor has a bad winding. It'll work for years if you can put up with it, or it'll leave you stranded. Mine worked for 3 years like that. Change it out, it's an easy fix

Check the wiring FIRST at the inertia switch, Kick panel Right side, Remove the panel and pull up the matt and look, IF that's good, Replace the pump
