i have an 04 sport trac xlt and i want to ditch the factor front clip and replace it with a linclon navigator front end. any ideas or suggestions on how to do this?

The factory interior will be removed as well to make room for the navigator interior.

Wow, quite a project. I seriously doubt it can be done, since the Navigator is based on the F150. You might want to consider doing this with a Lincoln Aviator as the donor vehicle, since it's based on the Explorer.

I don't think they made an Aviator that would match a 2004 Sport Trac. If I remember right, they made the Aviator after the switch to the new Explorer body style, while the Sport Trac didn't make the same transition until 2007. I'm not saying it can't be done, but I don't see how it could be a bolt-on proposition.

dreman's right. I forgot about the fact that the Aviator wasn't introduced until 2003, and the ST was still on the Gen 1 chassis at that time, which differed significantly from the standard Explorer platform.

Makes me even more skeptical that a mod like BTR04's proposing can even be done at all.

Not a direct bolt on. I saw an ST with an Avitor front end at a custom car show a while back. A quick Google search found a Ranger to Sport Trac and Ranger to Avitator but lots of work.

Here's a link to another forum/website showing the project.
