I have a 2003 XLT, 2WD.
My driver window was starting to go down very slow. I took off the panel and saw that the window is in two channels. One forward and one rear. The window came out of the rear
channel so when the windows switch was activated to go down the forward channel was pulling the entire window down.
It appears that the windows are siliconed into the channels. The rear section of the window became unglued from the channel. I went to the auto parts store and got RTV glass silicone adhesive. Put some in the channel, put the window up and waited 24 hrs. The window now operates just like new!
Thought I would share this information for those who may eventually have the problem.
