Well, it seems that the actuator on the passenger side has crapped itself. I took the door panel off and tried to lube it and manually actuate it but it is still intermittent. I'm not sure that I want to try to replace it myself. I think I'll just take it to ford. Any suggestions?

I would look for another mech that can do it once you get the part. The dealership will charge you a bundle in labor fees.

I'm looking at the same issue with my rear driver's side door. Is the actuator replacement job that tough?...I was hoping it might be do-able for a novice DIY'er.

I'd be interested to know how involved this repair is on the ST. With past cars I've owned, similar problems with door locks and auto windows have involved actually having to cut through the metal framework (with the mechanic cursing at how they enclose some of the parts as if they would never have to be replaced!)
